Our History
The CCH website was first published on the Internet in March
of 1998 in an unfinished state. The site is still unfinished, although
in the years it has been up, much has been added to it, and the breadth
and depth of the site has increased and expanded greatly. I expect that
the site will always be “under construction” as we strive to meet the
needs of Christian homeschooling families. Thank you for your patience
during this ongoing process.
For many years Classical Christian Homeschooling was sponsored by Fritz Hinrichs of Escondido Tutorial Service,
one of the earliest classical education sites on the web. We would not
be here today without his gracious and generous support and help. You
will find
much more help and information regarding classical education there.
Our Website
This website was designed and programmed by the great
folks at Big Fresh Media. We heartily recommend them for all your web
design and service needs.
The images adorning the Classical Christian Homeschooling website are all paintings and various masterworks of Western Civilization. At some point we will post an art history image gallery on this site which will allow you to view each image more fully, and find others like them. There you will find credit and links to the images’ homes. No images have been used from image archives, such as the Perseus Project, which expressly forbid such use. Although copyrights do not exist for works of art made before 1923, copyrights on photographs of such works do exist. If CCH has unwittingly infringed your photographic copyright, contact us and we will gladly provide photographic credit and a link, or remove an image. Otherwise, all images are displayed here with permission or non-commerical fair use.
